The Town of Lake Lure has an active Rutherford Bound steering committee which is committed to advancing the Morse Park Master Plan. Expanded parking requires an engineered grading plan and development permits. The Town has selected a design firm and construction on this project will begin once engineering and permitting is complete and a contractor has been selected.
The Town of Lake Lure and the Tourism Development Authority are working to raise additional funds to continue implementing the Morse Park Master Plan.
